Some Questions and answers:
My name: maiyue - it's a combination of a german and a chinese word
I mainly paint with watercolours, but also practised with computer colouring.
Materials I use for watercolour painting: Winsor&Newton watercolours, Canson paper, Chinese ink wash brushes
Colours I use most: brown - the essential colour to give pictures a worn-out, historic look; red and yellow because these are the easiest watercolour pigments to apply
Style of watercolours: I use both the wet in wet, soometimes with backruns and dry technique. Recently I tend to paint drier to give the picture a "stronger" look.
Tips for watercolouring: always use good paper! It's much more important to use real watercolour paper than to use good colours or brushes.
I hope this was interesting to read. : )
